Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on physical therapy evaluation and treatment plans that help patients regain mobility and independence
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehab staff to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge planning clearly and promptly
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and recovery expectations
• Use clinical reasoning to modify treatment based on patient response and goals
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, outcome-focused culture

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted California Physical Therapist license required
• Active BLS/CPR certification required
• Travel-ready documentation and ability to start on assignment dates
• Comfortable working in post-acute/rehabilitation settings with diverse caseloads
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program; DPT preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and functional mobility training
• Skilled in assessment of gait, balance, transfer techniques, and assistive device recommendations
• Familiarity with documentation systems and reimbursement-driven charting
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time effectively
• Patient education and motivational coaching skills
