Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans that help patients regain mobility and independence
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions including gait training, therapeutic exercise, and modalities under PT oversight
- Document patient progress clearly and promptly in the medical record to support care continuity
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe functional strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support patient-centered goals
- Maintain a safe treatment environment and follow infection control and facility protocols
- Support discharge planning by communicating patient progress and equipment needs
Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for licensing as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Jersey (must obtain NJ license prior to start if required)
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program (associate degree or equivalent)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Comfortable working across the continuum of care in a fast-paced rehab setting
- Strong communication skills and a positive, patient-centered attitude
- Travel or contract experience is a plus but not required — we welcome adaptable clinicians
Education
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (graduation from an accredited PTA program required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfer techniques, and use of assistive devices
- Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and progress note writing
- Knowledge of safety and infection control practices in clinical settings
- Ability to follow treatment plans and adjust cues under PT supervision
- Good time management, organization, and teamwork skills
- Comfort with basic electronic medical record documentation
