Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled speech-language pathology evaluations and individualized treatment plans for adults and/or geriatric patients
- Deliver evidence-based interventions for dysphagia, cognitive-communication, voice, and language disorders
- Collaborate closely with nursing, PT/OT, and rehab teams to coordinate patient-centered care and safe discharge planning
- Perform documentation and progress notes in a timely, compliant manner
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, strategies, and safe swallowing techniques
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Active California SLP license or eligibility for CA licensure/temporary permit
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Minimum clinical experience in adult/rehabilitation settings preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
- Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements and background checks
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in dysphagia management and cognitive-communication disorders
- Skilled in conducting standardized and functional assessments
- Familiarity with rehab documentation, insurance, and discharge planning
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced post-acute/rehab environments
