Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication and swallowing disorders using evidence-based evaluation methods
• Develop personalized treatment plans that help patients make meaningful progress
• Deliver hands-on and functional therapy to improve patient communication and safety
• Document clinical findings and progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover of therapy goals
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure safe and effective transitions

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts license to practice Speech Language Pathology (required)
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (typical requirement for SLP roles)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred when available
• Comfortable providing care across all days of the week as needed for the assignment
• Professional, compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
• Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements and background checks

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent clinical graduate degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing assessment
• Experience with individualized treatment planning and measurable goal setting
• Familiarity with documentation in electronic health records
• Strong interdisciplinary communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and caseload prioritization to meet patient needs
• Ability to educate and motivate patients and families for best outcomes
