Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care during 12-hour night shifts with attention to clinical best practices
• Administer medications, treatments, and wound care in accordance with facility policies
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly to the care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care plans
• Support admissions, discharges, and shift-to-shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible to work in North Carolina required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS as applicable preferred
• Previous acute care or long-term care experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to an alternating 4/3 schedule
• Current immunizations and any facility-required screenings or background checks

Education

• LPN: Vocational/Practical Nursing diploma or certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV/line care knowledge
• Proficient documentation skills and comfort with EMR systems
• Good communication and teamwork skills for night-shift collaboration
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
