Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to help patients regain communication and swallowing function
- Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, physicians and family members to coordinate care
- Document evaluations, progress notes and discharge recommendations clearly and on time
- Provide patient and family education to support carryover of therapy goals
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning and quality improvement
Qualifications
- Active SLP license in California (or eligible for expedited licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in post-acute, rehab, or skilled nursing settings is a strong plus
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required by facility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in evaluation and treatment of dysphagia and cognitive-communication disorders
- Comfortable with clinical documentation and electronic health records
- Knowledge of evidence-based SLP interventions across adult populations
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary rehab team
- Time management and caseload prioritization to maintain quality care
