Shift Type: Days (typical assignment): 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Day shift (30-minute meal break). Exact days per assignment; staffing often follows a weekday schedule but may include occasional weekends as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with activities of daily living while preserving resident dignity and independence
• Support safe transfers and positioning to reduce fall risk and promote comfort
• Document care and observations clearly in the resident record to maintain continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable performing physical aspects of resident care and working on your feet
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
• Immunizations up to date as required by facility

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and safe patient handling
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and recognize changes in condition
• Basic documentation skills and familiarity with electronic or paper health records
• Infection prevention practices and proper personal protective equipment use
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
