Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding in a respectful manner
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any concerning changes to the nursing team
• Document resident care and observations clearly and promptly
• Support mobility and safe transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• CPR/BLS certification (recommended or required per facility orientation)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; active CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
• Able to take and document vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and basic safety procedures
• Familiarity with patient transfer and positioning techniques
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic charting and documentation skills
