Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that help patients reach meaningful goals
- Deliver skilled therapy sessions using clinical best practices and measurable outcomes
- Document progress accurately and timely in the medical record to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family to coordinate holistic, patient-centered care
- Participate in team meetings and discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- State of New Hampshire SLP license required or ability to obtain prior to start
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or active state certification
- Comfortable with evaluations, treatment planning, and documentation in a rehab/contract setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; professional and reliable presence on site
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required); ASHA certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in speech, language, cognition, and dysphagia assessment and intervention
- Proficient with documentation standards and clinical outcome measurement
- Ability to modify therapy for diverse ages and diagnoses
- Good clinical judgment, time management, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment, compensatory strategies, and family education
