Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions and assist patients with mobility and functional activities
- Collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to implement individualized care plans
- Document patient progress accurately and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety and injury prevention
- Assist with safe transfers, gait training and use of adaptive equipment
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment that promotes recovery and independence
Qualifications
- Current PTA license in New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain state licensure
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Prior experience in outpatient or inpatient rehab preferred but new grads are welcome to apply
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-based setting
- Professional liability insurance if required by your agency or employer
Education
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (or equivalent accredited program)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven ability with therapeutic exercise, gait training and functional mobility
- Knowledge of documentation best practices and electronic medical records
- Comfortable with manual techniques, modalities and adaptive equipment
- Strong patient education skills and the ability to tailor instruction to different learning styles
- Good clinical judgment and ability to follow care plans developed by a licensed PT
