Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients with compassion and clinical precision
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent patient outcomes
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
- Respond to urgent situations calmly and initiate appropriate interventions
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license (New Mexico or compact) — ready to practice
- BLS required; ACLS and specialty certifications preferred when applicable
- Minimum recent acute care nursing experience preferred; travel RN experience is a plus
- Current CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations/health screening
- Ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks in a timely manner
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — facility may accept ADN with experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competence
- Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with inpatient nursing workflows and patient safety practices
