Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients with compassion and clinical precision
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
• Respond to urgent situations calmly and initiate appropriate interventions
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and best practices

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license (New Mexico or compact) — ready to practice
• BLS required; ACLS and specialty certifications preferred when applicable
• Minimum recent acute care nursing experience preferred; travel RN experience is a plus
• Current CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations/health screening
• Ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks in a timely manner

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — facility may accept ADN with experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with inpatient nursing workflows and patient safety practices
