Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders using evidence-based methods
• Develop individualized treatment plans that set clear, measurable goals
• Provide skilled therapy sessions and adjust plans based on progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and families to maximize outcomes
• Document treatments, progress, and discharge planning accurately and on time
• Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to support carryover and safety
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active or eligible Pennsylvania SLP license (must be able to obtain if not already active)
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or recent clinical experience equivalent
• Current CPR/BLS certification (as required by facility)
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Excellent clinical documentation and interpersonal skills

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• ASHA CCC-SLP (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
• Skilled in assessment tools, treatment planning, and outcome measurement
• Comfortable collaborating with rehab teams and family-centered care
• Good time management and documentation skills
• Ability to adapt therapy to a variety of ages and diagnoses
