Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional mobility and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to restore movement and reduce pain
• Document patient progress clearly and timely using facility charting systems
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other rehab staff to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and injury prevention
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate community resources as needed
• Maintain safe use and upkeep of therapy equipment and treatment areas

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania (or eligible to obtain PA license)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience providing outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation care preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and patient-focused communication
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients as required for safe mobility training

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy acceptable where applicable
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment of mobility, strength, balance, and functional limitations
• Proficient with therapeutic exercise, gait training, and assistive device fitting
• Knowledge of modalities and pain management techniques appropriate for PT
• Excellent patient education and motivational skills
• Strong teamwork, time management, and clinical documentation abilities
