Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient function and develop individualized treatment plans that restore mobility and independence
- Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions, exercise programs, and patient education to improve outcomes
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehab team members to coordinate comprehensive care
- Document progress and plan updates accurately and timely in the facility EMR
- Monitor patient safety and modify treatment plans to meet changing needs
- Coach patients and families to support long-term recovery and functional goals
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license or eligible for licensure in Maine
- Degree in Physical Therapy (see Education section) and clinical experience as a practicing PT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Comfortable treating a broad adult caseload in a contract/outpatient setting
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or Master's/Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in musculoskeletal and functional mobility interventions
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise prescription and manual therapy techniques
- Proficient documentation and care planning in electronic medical records
- Ability to evaluate balance, gait, and transfers and implement safe progression plans
- Good clinical reasoning and patient education skills
- Teamwork and time management to thrive in a fast-paced contract environment
