Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on therapeutic treatments and assist patients with mobility and functional goals
• Implement physician- and therapist-directed plans of care to improve patient independence
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and injury prevention
• Document patient progress and communicate updates clearly with the care team
• Collaborate with PTs, nurses, and support staff to optimize rehabilitation outcomes
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe treatment environment for all patients

Qualifications

• Active or compact-state eligible PTA license for Washington (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• BLS/CPR certification required or obtained upon hire
• Prior experience in acute, outpatient, or post-acute rehabilitation preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate degree or diploma from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and transfer techniques
• Proficient with documentation and common EMR systems used in rehab settings
• Knowledge of safety precautions, infection control, and proper body mechanics
• Excellent patient education and motivational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
