Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a busy inpatient unit
• Perform thorough assessments and coordinate individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document patient care and communicate changes effectively in the EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge goals
• Respond promptly to clinical emergencies and escalate concerns as needed

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license (VT license or compact license preferred)
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS/PALS as appropriate to the unit
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Travel nursing experience a plus and comfort with short-term assignments

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Patient education and discharge planning knowledge
