Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during the night shift with compassion and clinical confidence
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document responses
• Monitor and assess patient condition, escalating changes to the care team promptly
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to create and follow care plans
• Perform admissions, transfers, and discharge tasks efficiently and with patient-centered communication
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Support families with education and clear updates during the course of care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license appropriate for practice in New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain upon hire
• Previous LPN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• LPN diploma or certificate from an accredited program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and bedside nursing procedures
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Solid assessment skills for monitoring patient status overnight
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle urgent situations calmly
