Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient function and mobility to create personalized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise and manual techniques to restore movement and reduce pain
• Document progress clearly and promptly in the facility EMR to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered rehabilitation goals
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and functional independence
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment to ensure safety and high-quality care
• Adhere to facility policies and dress code, maintaining a professional presence at all times

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Mississippi or eligible to obtain state licensure prior to start
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or equivalent degree in physical therapy
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Experience in outpatient/rehabilitation settings is preferred but motivated new grads with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor or Master in Physical Therapy considered as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
• Familiarity with manual therapy techniques and functional mobility training
• Comfortable with assessment tools, goal setting, and measurable outcome documentation
• Proficient in patient and caregiver education to promote independence
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and teamwork skills
