Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with the team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient status, escalate concerns, and coordinate timely interventions
- Maintain clear, timely electronic documentation and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary staff
- Support unit needs by floating to other areas as required, contributing flexibility and teamwork
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or available depending on unit
- Comfortable floating between areas and adapting to different patient populations
- Strong clinical judgment and patient advocacy skills
- Reliable availability for the posted evening schedule and every other weekend
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and care planning
- Medication administration and IV therapy basics
- Familiarity with safe patient handling and infection control
- Clear clinical documentation and effective communication
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting and respond to change
- Collaborative teamwork and professional bedside manner
