Shift Type: Saturday - Wednesday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM (Day shift), Per Diem — shifts confirmed/canceled daily; 30-minute meal break
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care to assigned individuals
- Perform observations, monitor behavior and mental status, and document findings accurately
- Assist with implementation of treatment and behavior plans under clinical direction
- Collaborate with nursing, mental health clinicians, and facility staff to ensure safety
- Respond calmly and effectively to behavioral crises and support de-escalation efforts
- Maintain clear, timely charting and communication to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current LPT (Licensed Psychiatric Technician) classification required
- Ability to work in a correctional facility setting (Mule Creek State Prison)
- Available for a two-week orientation and per diem scheduling with daily confirmation
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
- Must meet facility clearance/background requirements as required by employer
Education
- Completion of an approved Psychiatric Technician program (as required for LPT licensure)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of psychiatric care principles, behavior observation, and crisis intervention
- Skill in therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques
- Competence in accurate clinical documentation and reporting
- Ability to follow established treatment plans and facility safety protocols
- Teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical staff
