Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and comfort measures
• Carry out assigned nursing tasks and follow care plans under supervision
• Monitor and accurately document resident conditions, reporting changes promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and use of patient handling equipment to promote mobility
• Support a positive resident experience through respectful communication and teamwork
• Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

• Current LNA certification valid for NH or VT as required
• Experience working 12-hour and 16-hour night shifts preferred
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled nights including weekends
• Willingness to follow facility policies and collaborate with nursing staff

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program and current LNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care principles
• Skilled in safe patient handling and infection control practices
• Familiarity with documentation standards and reporting changes in condition
• Comfortable working in fast-paced clinical settings during overnight shifts
• Able to prioritize tasks and work effectively as part of a care team
• Basic understanding of elder care needs and dignity-focused care
