Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to patients in an addiction medicine setting
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses following facility policies
- Perform thorough assessments and document clinical findings accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and recovery resources
- Maintain professional standards, safety protocols, and infection control practices
- Support continuity of care during rotations and handoffs to ensure patient safety
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — required
- Experience or interest in Addiction Medicine preferred
- Comfort working a rotating every-other-week schedule
- Current BLS/CPR certification encouraged or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-focused environment
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Patient assessment and clinical documentation
- Familiarity with addiction medicine principles and withdrawal management
- Ability to follow care plans and facility protocols
- Good interpersonal skills for patient-centered care and teamwork
