Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care following facility protocols
- Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and document findings accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
- Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns promptly to ensure patient safety
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse license (eligible to work in Maryland or compact license accepted)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred where applicable
- Prior experience in acute care or the specific clinical area is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proof of immunizations and background checks as required by the facility
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing best practices, medication administration, and patient assessment
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems and clinical documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong teamwork, time management, and patient education skills
- Infection control and safety-conscious approach to patient care
