Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and support daily living needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policy
• Perform routine assessments and document vital signs, changes, and interventions accurately
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
• Assist with wound care, catheter care, and other assigned clinical procedures
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and safe discharge practices
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (Maryland license preferred or eligible for Maryland licensure)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Prior LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar clinical setting preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-based environment
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screens, and health screenings for travel assignments

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing / LPN program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation practices
• Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical charting
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, and basic wound care
• Knowledge of infection prevention, safety practices, and regulatory requirements
• Good time management, prioritization, and delegation skills in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Professional bedside manner and ability to teach patients and families
