Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients on the unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and report changes to the care team
• Document care thoroughly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to execute care plans
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and well-being
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license (Maryland) — must be current and in good standing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Travel nursing experience preferred (secondary skill listed)
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RN candidates)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and basic clinical skills
• Medication administration and charting
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
• Good interpersonal skills for patient, family, and team interactions
• Ability to prioritize and respond effectively in urgent situations
