Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across the unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status clearly
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain safety, infection control, and high standards of clinical practice
• Support unit workflow, mentor colleagues, and help create a positive work environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or eligible compact/reciprocal licensure
• Licensed Practical Nurse candidates considered where applicable
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) preferred
• Clinical experience in acute care or related setting is a plus
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) for RN candidates
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program for LPN candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
