Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, promoting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
• Monitor resident condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support feeding and mealtime needs, including special diets and assistance
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident observations
• Follow infection control protocols and facility safety procedures
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care plans

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification required (Geriatric Nursing Assistant)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is strongly preferred
• Positive references and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to resident care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL assistance and safe resident transfers
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
• Strong communication skills with residents, families and team members
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition
• Time management and documentation skills to maintain accurate records
