Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform routine assessments and report changes in condition promptly
• Document care thoroughly in the electronic health record to ensure continuity
• Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, meds, and follow-up
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect everyone

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (Maryland preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Prior LPN experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar settings preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable attendance, and a caring bedside manner
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or certificate from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and monitoring
• Patient assessment and vital sign interpretation
• Wound care basics and pressure injury prevention
• Accurate charting and comfort with electronic health records
• Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
