Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and daily nursing assessments
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to policy
• Document patient status, treatments, and responses clearly in the chart
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Monitor patients for changes and escalate concerns promptly
• Assist with wound care, ADLs, and other clinical procedures as required
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland or eligible for Maryland licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or must obtain prior to start
• Previous LPN clinical experience preferred — travel experience a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing / LPN program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medication administration and documentation skills
• Basic clinical assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Good time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Patient education, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
