Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Perform timely patient assessments and monitor clinical changes
• Document care clearly and thoroughly in the facility’s charting system
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and follow care plans
• Educate patients and families about care, medications, and follow-up needs
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (Maryland license preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar clinical setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; teamwork mindset
• Ability to pass facility background checks, screenings, and health requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Skilled at patient assessment and recognizing clinical changes
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Infection prevention, wound care basics, and safe patient handling
• Time management, prioritization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
