Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Support safe and comfortable patient transfers and positioning
• Document patient care and observations clearly and promptly
• Partner with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Active registration in the state registry (or ability to obtain Maine registration)
• Comfort working the day shift schedule of 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care skills and safe transfer techniques
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Good observation and documentation practices
• Strong teamwork and communication with patients, families and staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
