Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers while using proper body mechanics
- Take and record vital signs and observe for changes in residents' conditions
- Document care accurately and communicate observations to the nursing team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable providing direct patient care and working as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to pass facility-required background checks and screenings
- Professional, compassionate attitude and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident hygiene
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, transfers, feeding assistance
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Strong observation and documentation skills
- Good communication, time management, and teamwork
