Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate direct patient care following established LPN scope and facility policies
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and timely
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges to keep patient flow smooth
• Provide clear, respectful education to patients and families about care plans
• Collaborate with RNs and providers to support high-quality, safe outcomes
• Maintain meticulous documentation and charting to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (eligible to practice in New Mexico)
• Travel LPN experience preferred, but motivated new travel nurses are welcome
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtainable prior to start
• Current immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Good clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fundamentals in medication administration and wound care
• Familiarity with charting and electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient assignments overnight
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with nursing staff
• Solid infection control and safety practices
