Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Rehab unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and rehab goals
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans, and recovery expectations
• Document care promptly and accurately in the patient record to support continuity

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico or compact multi-state license preferred
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RN; diploma or PN program for LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Medication administration and safe IV/line management
• Familiarity with rehabilitation care principles and mobility assistance
• Comfortable with electronic documentation and charting
• Good interpersonal skills for patient/family teaching and team collaboration
