Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Rehab unit
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and rehab goals
- Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans, and recovery expectations
- Document care promptly and accurately in the patient record to support continuity
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico or compact multi-state license preferred
- Current BLS certification; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
- Clinical experience in medical-surgical or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RN; diploma or PN program for LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid assessment skills and the ability to prioritize patient needs
- Medication administration and safe IV/line management
- Familiarity with rehabilitation care principles and mobility assistance
- Comfortable with electronic documentation and charting
- Good interpersonal skills for patient/family teaching and team collaboration
