Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility to keep residents comfortable and secure
- Support nourishing meal service and help with feeding when needed
- Document care and observations clearly and promptly in the patient record
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote resident well-being and dignity
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain promptly
- Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and assisting with transfers
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet health screening requirements
Education
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance and basic patient care
- Ability to take and accurately document vital signs
- Comfortable with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Good charting and observational skills to catch changes in condition
- Customer-service oriented approach to resident interactions
