Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Support resident mobility and transfers safely using proper body mechanics
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care provided to ensure continuity and quality
• Observe and report any changes in resident condition to promote prompt intervention
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and coworkers
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and family members to create person-centered care plans

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
• Ability to pass background and health screenings as required by the facility
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a caring attitude toward residents
• Willingness to work the assigned 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM shift consistently

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program completion — required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and intake/output
• Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
• Ability to use electronic or paper charting systems
• Teamwork, empathy, and strong observational skills
