Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist patients with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations accurately
- Assist nursing staff with treatments and follow individual care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Document care thoroughly and communicate changes in patient condition to the team
- Support patient mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state requirements apply)
- Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Able to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the care team
- Reliability, professionalism, and a compassionate approach to patient care
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation or charting
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to follow care plans accurately
