Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care and monitor patient condition throughout the shift
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and promptly
• Collaborate closely with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Perform timely assessments and maintain clear, thorough patient records
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Uphold infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect patients and staff
• Support unit workflow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license (Class listed: LPN|RN) — must be valid in North Carolina or eligible for state licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills may be considered
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility requirements
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or nursing program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic clinical skills and familiarity with standard nursing procedures
• Good charting and record-keeping, with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a clinical team
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
