Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the rehab setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and physicians to support individualized care plans
• Monitor and document patient status, reporting changes promptly
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient independence
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and recovery goals
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper medical records with attention to detail

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in the state of Maryland or multistate licensure as applicable
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care is a strong plus
• Dependable, professional, and patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to pass standard background and health screenings required for travel staff

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program or equivalent vocational nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and basic nursing skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Familiarity with rehab-focused care and restorative nursing techniques
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems and daily charting
