Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to residents at Red Rocks Care Center
• Administer medications accurately and monitor patient responses
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in condition clearly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans
• Deliver wound care, IV therapy, and other skilled nursing interventions as needed
• Educate residents and families about care plans, medications, and recovery goals
• Maintain strict infection control practices and adhere to facility policies
• Support a positive, team-focused environment that improves patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (valid in New Mexico or compact RN license)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or other specialty certifications a plus
• Recent clinical experience as an RN in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Ability to work night shifts and weekend-heavy schedules (Fri, Sat, Sun)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing assessment, medication administration, and wound care
• Comfortable with electronic health records and documentation best practices
• Skilled in prioritizing care in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safety procedures
• Able to build rapport with residents and families with empathy and professionalism
