Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the bedside
- Administer medications and document patient responses accurately and timely
- Monitor vital signs and communicate changes to the care team to ensure patient safety
- Assist with care plans and coordinated nursing tasks to support positive outcomes
- Perform treatments and basic wound care following facility protocols
- Educate patients and families on care instructions in a clear, respectful way
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists and support staff to maintain a clean, safe environment
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain state licensure
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — or willingness to obtain promptly
- Able to pass background check and required health screenings (immunizations, TB)
- Professional, compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
- Prior experience as an LPN preferred but new-to-travel LPNs with solid clinical skills are welcome
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with basic nursing assessments and vital sign interpretation
- Comfortable with electronic charting and following facility policies
- Strong prioritization, time management and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide patient-centered care in fast-paced settings
