Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document care delivered clearly and timely in the resident record to ensure continuity
• Assist with meals and feeding, monitoring intake and reporting concerns
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety procedures
• Communicate respectfully and effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to enhance resident experience

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Willingness to complete facility-required health screenings and background checks
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and personal care
• Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Good documentation and communication skills with the care team
• Understanding of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Ability to work in a fast-paced care environment and prioritize resident needs
