Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with daily living activities and mobility to promote resident comfort and independence
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Accurately document care provided and maintain clear, timely records
- Support residents during meals and ensure dietary needs are met
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Eligible for or currently holds state CNA registration in Maine
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable performing physical tasks associated with resident care
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of ADLs and basic nursing care techniques
- Good documentation and charting skills
- Infection control and safe patient handling practices
- Clear communication and compassionate bedside manner
- Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
