Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility to promote resident comfort and independence
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Accurately document care provided and maintain clear, timely records
• Support residents during meals and ensure dietary needs are met
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Eligible for or currently holds state CNA registration in Maine
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable performing physical tasks associated with resident care
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of ADLs and basic nursing care techniques
• Good documentation and charting skills
• Infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Clear communication and compassionate bedside manner
• Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
