Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to residents and patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vitals, and responses to care
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
• Perform timely assessments and escalate changes in patient condition
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to support care goals

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (New Mexico or eligibility for licensure)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Previous LPN experience preferred, especially in long term care or similar settings
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete facility onboarding requirements
• Ability to work consecutive night shifts and provide consistent patient care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or LPN/Vocational Nursing program
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and charting with attention to detail
• Resident and patient assessment skills and accurate documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent situations calmly
