Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as an LPN or RN to promote recovery and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and support staff to develop and follow individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications and follow-up to support successful transitions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in North Carolina preferred)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Clinical experience in a related care setting preferred (recent graduates may be considered depending on facility needs)
• Valid immunizations and background checks as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude

Education

• LPN: Practical nursing diploma or certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing; BSN preferred where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and critical thinking for timely clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and IV basics depending on scope of practice
• Electronic medical record documentation and charting accuracy
• Infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Effective patient and family education skills
