Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility safely
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Accurately complete documentation and charting in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (T-CNA or state-equivalent) required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work the assigned Thursday-Friday-Saturday day shifts
- Comfortable with 12+ hour shifts and lifting/transferring residents as needed
- Pass required background checks, drug screen, and health screenings
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of basic nursing care and ADLs
- Skilled in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes accurately
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
- Team-player attitude with empathy for geriatric and rehab populations
