Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents according to care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor and document vital signs, observations, and resident responses
- Communicate changes in condition to the care team and assist with care coordination
- Support activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe care environment
- Contribute to accurate, timely charting in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in the state where you will practice or ability to obtain one promptly
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willing to obtain prior to start
- Previous LPN experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and excellent communication with residents and team members
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screens for travel assignments
Education
- Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing (or equivalent vocational training)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Resident assessment and recognition of subtle changes in condition
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Infection control, wound care basics, and standards of nursing practice
- Effective teamwork, time management, and clear communication skills
