Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Document nursing interventions, observations, and patient responses in the medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality care
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up needs
- Support facility quality and safety initiatives through best-practice nursing care
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted LPN or RN license (appropriate to the role) — New Mexico licensure or compact licensure as applicable
- Current clinical competency in nursing fundamentals and medication administration
- Travel nursing experience is a plus and will help you hit the ground running
- Able to work scheduled 12.5-hour day shifts on Sunday, Monday and Saturday
- Professional, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
Education
- LPN: Vocational/Practical Nursing diploma or certificate
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing assessment, documentation, and care planning
- Skilled in medication administration and clinical monitoring
- Ability to prioritize patient needs and manage time effectively during long shifts
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with electronic health records and standard infection control practices
