Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, supporting daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility and feeding while preserving dignity
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Document care accurately and timely in the resident record
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety procedures
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check and required immunizations per facility policy
• Comfortable working with geriatric population and skilled in safe patient handling
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vitals, ADL assistance, toileting, feeding support
• Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
• Good documentation and charting practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
