Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, always prioritizing dignity
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in line with facility standards
• Follow infection control practices and contribute to a safe care environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-appropriate) — required
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working in a long-term care/clinical setting and supporting varied patient needs
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and experience with ADLs
• Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
• Basic patient transfer and mobility assistance
• Infection control and safety procedures
• Time management, dependable attendance, and clear communication
